My Why
Choosing a photographer for your special moments and important projects is not an easy thing to do.
I know - because I've trawled photography websites for my own wedding, my family portraits and my business branding... it's hard finding a kind, friendly photographer with a similar style and high quality as my own.
If you're unsure what to look for in a photographer, go back to basics - do you love their photos? Do their photos bring you joy? How do their photos make you feel? This is the best place to start, even if you can't identify why. If you love my photos, we're likely a great match.

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable with me and know a bit about who I am, why I love photography and why I care about taking your photographs.

I picked up my first dSLR camera in 2010, having returned from a wonderful holiday to the USA. I fell in love with San Francisco and I was so disappointed to download my photos when I got home... my happy snap photos didn't do the holiday justice. (I also couldn't find an artwork of the city I left my heart in, but that's another story - see my travel inspired artworks here).
I made a vow to myself - never again would I go overseas without a way to document the true, natural beauty I saw in the world. I was determined to figure out how to get the visions and image compositions in my mind align with what I saw through my lens. I started learning manual photography and never looked back!

Travelling and being in nature are my favourite things in the world. I love to photograph people and places. The connection between the two are fascinating for me - how each one shapes the other. Being in nature brings out our childlike joy, sense of belonging, connection and feelings of freedom.

And finally, I care about you because I'm a true collaborator at heart. I crave connection with genuine souls like you who are pursuing your dreams, enjoying your family and celebrating how far you've come. Witnessing your growth and the seasons of your life is a pure joy for me. Your reaction to my photos only compounds that joy.
